MOSIP adopts open standards, interoperability, modularity, and extensibility to help build robust and scalable digital ID programmes. MOSIP also supports privacy by design, and enables robust data security measures while incorporating inclusion, assurance, and convenience as critical design aspects.
A DGPA-recognized digital public good, MOSIP incorporates global best practices with built-in user control and transparency measures. With MOSIP, end-users can obtain a digital ID and credentials, and verify their identity through authentication.

The benefits of foundational ID systems are firmly established. Well-implemented digital ID systems have acted as a flywheel of progress to enable digital governance and enhance a country’s ability to deliver citizen services. Yet, many countries have faced several challenges while trying to establish digital ID systems. MOSIP was envisioned to solve some of the most critical technological challenges in digital ID systems.
At MOSIP, we are up to facing the challenges of this complex task; one that is unique to each environment, and which needs constant vigilance, technical know-how, passion for technology and its implementation, and in making a real impact in the lives of people.
